Tempe, AZ (January 2009) – Marko Boyer of Lincoln Distributors has made a frit maker with professionals in mind.
Marko Boyer has been surrounded by art since a small child. Growing up in Italy, he learned metal crafts and glass blowing from his family. Now Boyer runs his own glass workshop and is a senior associate at Lincoln Distributors (http://www.lincolnglass.com). At Lincoln, one of the largest glass suppliers in the Southwest, he has the opportunity to talk to many fellow glass artisans. There was a general consensus among fusers that while frit makers were a good idea, most were not intended for studio use. Boyer remembered a frit maker he designed for himself a number of years back that he used to crush glass for his numerous fusing projects and frit-paintings. This inspired Boyer to design and produce his own product--the Frit Maker Pro.
The Frit Maker Pro relies less on hand strength and more on its own weight. Its thick, heavy gauge plunger requires less physical force to crush the glass. Both the plunger and the base have well-padded handles for comfort and ease of use. The plunger cleanly fits inside the base, making it easy to lift and drop, reducing arm and hand fatigue. Made from welded steel for long life, it can hand heavy daily use.
Marko Boyer’s Frit Maker Pro is exclusively available at Lincoln Distributors. Lincoln carries a wide range of stained glass and fusing supplies for glass artisans. Email sales@lincolnglass.com for support. Order toll-free at (800) 528-1419 or shop online at LincolnGlass.com.
